About Epogen

Epogen, also known as Epoetin Alfa, Procrit and Eprex, comes in liquid injection form. It is a prescription medication that is very popular with veterinarians for the use on dogs and cats. It is recommended that it be used under the care of a veterinarian.

Epogen contains erythropoietin, a natural hormone produced by your pet's kidney. Erythropoietin works by stimulating red blood cell production. An erythropoietin deficiency can lead to anemia. Epogen helps to treat this anemia, usually caused by chronic kidney failure, also known as chronic renal failure. Kidney failure can also cause an accumulation of waste products in the blood.

This product is only for pets with moderate-high levels of anemia. It is not intended for use with pets that have uncontrollable high blood pressure, low iron levels or hypertension. Treat your pet's anemia with safe, fast-acting Epogen!
