How Does Drontal Plus for Medium-Sized Dogs Work?
The active ingredients in Drontal Plus 68mg are praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate and febantel. Praziquantel attacks the parasitic worms skin internally, disintegrating it. The immune system then removes the broken down parasite. The hookworms and ascarids are attacked by the Pyrantel pamoate. The Pyrantel pamoate acts as a depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent, causing sudden contraction and paralysis. The hookworm then loses its hold on the intestinal wall and is removed from the pets system by natural process. The final ingredient, febantel, attacks nematode parasites including whipworms.
Side Effects and Warnings
Side effects are rare. Let your doctor know if your dog is allergic to this medication. Vomiting, loss of appetite or diarrhea may occur. Tapeworms can be transferable to humans. Talk to your veterinarian regarding proper hygiene measures.

Do not give Drontal Plus 68mg to your dog if they are taking another deworming medication unless directed by your veterinarian.
