Rated 5 out of 5 by Ckani Excellent filter that does a little bit of everything!
I have had this filter for many years. Everything about this filter is awesome. One of the "features" that nobody mentions is water changes. I turn the filter offf, direct the output hose out of the aquarium and just hold a bucket under it till it is almost full and then hit the power switch on the back and empty. No more dipping buckets, cups, etc. into the aquarium. Water polishing and a media basket just round this out so I can use whatever media I have at home. Mine has lasted forever save having to get a new impeller once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kenney follow instuctions and use commom sene
I've use a pair of 350's with a C-530 on my 250 fresh water tank for over twenty five years. Now replacing one of the canister/media baskets because of wear. If you're having a problem with this filter, you're most likely doing something wrong. Follow the instructions and it'll work so smoothly it will amaze you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by katrina8183 VIery LOUD!
I have one of these and I hate it. It buzzes or rattles very loud all the time. Granted, mine is a few years old, but do not buy into the baloney that these are quiet! Even my new one I made the mistake of buying buzzes constantly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Vanadiel Good filters, keep their flowrate for a ong time
These are unique in that they are a canister type filter, but at the same time they hang on the back on a tank. They work great and keep their flow rate for a very long time. The only downside of these filters is the relatively small media basket. This is due to the fact that the filter housing is half a circle instead of a full circle. This cuts the volume inside in half versus a true round basket. Therefore I recommend to always use 2 of these on a tank: 1 for biological filtration and 1 for chemical/mechanical filtration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by tropicana magnum 350 good/bad points
350 Magnum, the good - 5/8" dia. outlet can prove an advantage when connecting to certain other inline devices, large stable base (w/ integrated on-off switch) canister will never tip, intake & outlet tube fittings adapt well to my tanks anyway and're easy to maintain, tubing valved connectors are shortest inline length when that's important;
350 Magnum, the not-so-good - top-filling design prone to trapped air, printed instructions w/ gaps in logic/continuity, product registration card w/ obsolete mailing address, tubing valved connectors work stiffly (and have been known to drip leak) and turning the tube to disconnect them a bit of a drawback

Rated 5 out of 5 by luv2hunt Excellent filter! Great customer service!
I have had this filter for a while now on a 55 gallon tank. I love it!! It is very quiet and keeps the tank very clean. I also like how the water is discharged. If set up properly you can create quite a bit of water flow or current in your tank.
I recently wanted to extend the discharge tube deeper into the tank so I called Marineland. I talked to Dean and he spent 20 mins on the phone to help me figure out a solution! It was great to be able to talk to someone so friendly and helpful. Thanks Dean!!

Rated 1 out of 5 Not worth the money
The box mis-represents the product. It show the micron filter but normal running uses the throwaway filter causing you to purchase replacements. Quality is not there, my replacement leaks at the valve (not an area I can get to) within three days of use. Below is the comment for the C360. Buyer beware.
I purchased the c360 six month ago and discovered it leaks. Factory recommendation is to seal it with silicone (never had to with my old canister from xx). After adding the sealant it leaked worse. So they sent me a C350, within three days it leaked at the shutoff valve causing damage to my tank stand. I would not now or ever recommend Marineland product to anyone. One would think for the high price they would add quality to their product. If I paid pennies for it I could understand. Not what they ask for C360 or for C350. Heed my advise, don't buy Marineland. I work in industry where o-rings are used all the time. Never seen this before on commercial product. I guess consumer product doesn't require the same standard.
