Rated 3 out of 5 by tropicana magnum 350 good/bad points
350 Magnum, the good - 5/8" dia. outlet can prove an advantage when connecting to certain other inline devices, large stable base (w/ integrated on-off switch) canister will never tip, intake & outlet tube fittings adapt well to my tanks anyway and're easy to maintain, tubing valved connectors are shortest inline length when that's important;
350 Magnum, the not-so-good - top-filling design prone to trapped air, printed instructions w/ gaps in logic/continuity, product registration card w/ obsolete mailing address, tubing valved connectors work stiffly (and have been known to drip leak) and turning the tube to disconnect them a bit of a drawback

Rated 5 out of 5 by luv2hunt Excellent filter! Great customer service!
I have had this filter for a while now on a 55 gallon tank. I love it!! It is very quiet and keeps the tank very clean. I also like how the water is discharged. If set up properly you can create quite a bit of water flow or current in your tank.
I recently wanted to extend the discharge tube deeper into the tank so I called Marineland. I talked to Dean and he spent 20 mins on the phone to help me figure out a solution! It was great to be able to talk to someone so friendly and helpful. Thanks Dean!!

Rated 1 out of 5 Not worth the money
The box mis-represents the product. It show the micron filter but normal running uses the throwaway filter causing you to purchase replacements. Quality is not there, my replacement leaks at the valve (not an area I can get to) within three days of use. Below is the comment for the C360. Buyer beware.
I purchased the c360 six month ago and discovered it leaks. Factory recommendation is to seal it with silicone (never had to with my old canister from xx). After adding the sealant it leaked worse. So they sent me a C350, within three days it leaked at the shutoff valve causing damage to my tank stand. I would not now or ever recommend Marineland product to anyone. One would think for the high price they would add quality to their product. If I paid pennies for it I could understand. Not what they ask for C360 or for C350. Heed my advise, don't buy Marineland. I work in industry where o-rings are used all the time. Never seen this before on commercial product. I guess consumer product doesn't require the same standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dabassman51 FANTASTIC PRODUCT!
Brought this filter in 1984, to maintain Oscars, and it has never stopped working! Also, I have never had to replace any of the parts, including the o-rings. Over the years I have housed many different kinds of fresh water and salt water fish, but I always go back to Oscars! Well, that's all, just thought it was time I let you know what a great product you made.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fish2 This product is not good
I have had two of these in the past and they were just fine. Within the last two weeks, I bought a new one and had to return it because the lid wouldn't seal. I received a replacement and that lid would not seal correctly either, allowing air to come in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cwafty Wow What a difference!
I run this in my 55 gallon Freshwater aquariums (3) and never have a seen a filter polish the water like this. Crystal clear, I'm tempted to drink the water! Easy to maintain and change media, easy to install. I also purchased the Bio-wheel option BTW. This is the 3rd one I own. I highly recommended this product to friends and clients.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jken13 Poor seal on lid
Just received this item yesterday. I've been using Marineland filters since the mid 80's. They've always worked great. So I was expecting to same thing with the HOT Magnum. Set up was a breeze. Instructions were easy to understand. Up to the point of turning the unit on I would have given 5 stars. I turned it on and in a matter of a minute the pump filled with air. Yes I wet the O & D rings & made sure the clips were in place. Yes I filled the chamber to the brim with tank water. When I turn the pump on I noticed a loud sucking noise. I hit the web to see what I could find. It said use the lubricant. I did this and no change. I took the lid of and thanks to the lubricant smears I notice the problem. In the D ring well, where the tubes attach to the lid there are divots in the plastic where it wasn't filled all the way in the mold they used to make it. This is causing the bad seal. Monday I will call the company and report this and see what they can do. Until then I can't give a good review for what looks to be a considerable flaw(if you count all the similar seal problem posts online). First problem I have ever had with a Marineland product. Heck my large emperor style pump from the 80's is still running a 40 something gallon tank in my mom's house.
