I bought the c-360 cannister filter in january 2014, I followed the easy to follow maintenance instructions (this was my first Cannister filter) and 7 months later the rubber seals between filter media trays were swelling up and would not go back together without making the filter leak. I called customer service and explained I loved the cannister filter but after my weekly maintenance the seals seemed to be swollen and the filter was leaking badly, she said they would send me a new seal kit, Less than 2 weeks later the UPS guy dropped off a entire brand new filter! I was in shock!!! Needless to say I am now SOLD on MarineLand Filters and will be buying more in the future for the rest of my tanks :D

This filter worked great for about 1 1/2 years. Started leaking. It took a little work to find the source was the filter head. I replaced the oring and used a bunch of grease but didn't help.
Otherwise I do like the filter.

I bought my c-160 and the out take tube came off the canister filter and put 10 gallon all over the carpet (which now has to be replaced), my devil damsel jumped out and died and on top of that I had to drive a hour to get some Rodi water to fill the tank back up, I've gone back to the aqua clear because this thing has cost me triple of what I payed for it to replace all the stuff that got destroyed

I have used several filtration setups on many aquariums, including small, large, saltwater, and freshwater. The marineland c-360 canister I am currently using on my 75g tank is a great product and an exceptional value. There is a LOT of room to cram it full of filter media and the flow rate is just right for this size tank.
For those of you having problems with bubbles or noise - try contacting marineland's wonderful customer support. I contacted Dean from CS and he was friendly and knowledgeable on the phone and promptly helped me to solve the problem. Marineland is one of the few companies I have dealt with that truly honors their warranty and will help you solve any problems you might have. I will continue to use Marineland products with my tanks!

I purchased the c360 six month ago and discovered it leaks. Factory recommendation is to seal it with silicone (never had to with my old canister from xx). After adding the sealant it leaked worse. So they sent me a C350, within three days it leaked at the shutoff valve causing damage to my tank stand. I would not now or ever recommend Marineland product to anyone. One would think for the high price they would add quality to their product. If I paid pennies for it I could understand. Not what they ask for C360 or for C350. Heed my advise, don't buy Marineland. I work in industry where o-rings are used all the time. Never seen this before on commercial product. I guess consumer product doesn't require the same standard.

This filter is difficult to set up and to get working. The parts are hard to put together correctly to get a good seal. The pump sticks and is too hard on my hands. The aggravation is not worth what I paid for it! Don't waste your money.
