Rated 4 out of 5 by DanSpeed Love my C-220!
I've owned my C-220 for over a year now and I love it! This is my first canister filter so I looked at many makes and models before choosing this one. What I really like about the C-220 after researching other brands is the compact shape, carrying handle, motor head locking buckles and the valve block design. I watched many videos showing how to setup, disassemble, clean, and prime the C-220 and it looked really easy. I've had no leaks or priming issues. In fact I never use the quick prime button! I just reconnected the valve block, turn the key, close the cover and after it fills I turn it on and it starts pumping. If needed, replacement parts are easy to find and reasonably priced. I had a few minor issues when first setting up and cleaning the C-220. The supplied vinyl tubing has such a strong twist in it that even after soaking it in hot water in an attempt to remove the twist the suction cups would not hold the strainer and diffuser pipes in place due to the force of the twist. I ended up tossing the suction cups and designing my own holder. When stacking the trays for the first few times I found it extremely difficult to correctly align them. The motor head will not properly close and seal if even one tray is not exactly seated into the tray below it. I found shining a bright light down and through the trays inlet hole allowed me to see and align the inlet seal of the tray below it with the tray I'm trying to stack. The unit had a low level rattling sound for the first two months, now it's very quiet. I found the exterior silver finish removes easily when lightly scratched. I wish Marineland included a tube of o-ring lubricant because I had a hard time finding the recommended silicon lube. Even aquarium stores selling Marineland canister filters never heard of silicon lube! I finally found it at a local pool supply store and it wasn't cheap! I would have given the C-220 five stars if the intake and outlet pipes were designed without using suction cups. All in all, I'm very happy with my C-220.

Rated 1 out of 5 by yellowblaze very unhappy with purchase.
The product has very big trays for lots of media, however that's the only good thing about the product. Produces lots of micro bubbles, and had lots of issues with it leaking.took the top off to do routine maintenance and when reassembled product would not turn on when plugged in.then i got te emperor 400 hob, which wasn't happy with either,it was so loud it was ridiculous, long story short i returned both the products and replaced with fluval filters.now tank is clean,no micro bubbles,no leaks, and everything is silent, recently bought a marineland power head/circulation pump which is also loud and going back to store today.I'm am very unhappy with every marineland product i purchase, and will not be buying anymore of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mrsplinter C360 keeps my tank crystal clear
I have C360's on my 75 gallon cichlid tanks and haven't ever had a problem with water chemistry or circulation in my tanks. I highly recommend this product for both beginners and professionals as it is easy to clean, easy to transport to where your cleaning it (the carrying handle makes it so simple) and of course provides the space you need for all kinds of different media. Thanks for such a solid product guys!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fishlady4life Best filter so far.
I bought this filter to replace 2 side filters I was using on my 55 gallon tank. My tank wasn't big enough for all my fish and the water stayed dirty and smelly. I upgraded to a 75 gallon tank with a c-360 filter. My tank is crystal clear and my fish are happy. I haven't cleaned the filter yet as I've only had it a week. After watching the video it looks fairly simple. I wish I had used canister filters in the past. Highly recommend this filter as it works great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by bash92474 seals poorly, leaks water, sucks in air
I have had the C 360 less than a year. The last few times I cleaned the canister it would leak water for a short period and pump air bubbles in to the tank for a hour or so. Now when on it continually puts air bubble in the tank and is noisy. Unfortunately I can not turn it off because it then leaks water rapidly, leaks slowly when on. I need new o rings which seems a bit soon since I have owned for only 10 month, however the local pet store can not get them since Marineland is out of stock. This might be the end of my owning a fish tank. Previously owned the magnum for 10 plus years no issues. They don't make them like they used to. Local dealer taught me a temporary fix, put gobs of vasoline around the o ring. At least now I can get a quiet nights sleep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dulser Great Filter and even Better Customer Service!
I bought the c-360 cannister filter in january 2014, I followed the easy to follow maintenance instructions (this was my first Cannister filter) and 7 months later the rubber seals between filter media trays were swelling up and would not go back together without making the filter leak. I called customer service and explained I loved the cannister filter but after my weekly maintenance the seals seemed to be swollen and the filter was leaking badly, she said they would send me a new seal kit, Less than 2 weeks later the UPS guy dropped off a entire brand new filter! I was in shock!!! Needless to say I am now SOLD on MarineLand Filters and will be buying more in the future for the rest of my tanks :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by rsimon6865 Worked great until the motor unit seal failed and it leaked
This filter worked great for about 1 1/2 years. Started leaking. It took a little work to find the source was the filter head. I replaced the oring and used a bunch of grease but didn't help.
Otherwise I do like the filter.

I bought my c-160 and the out take tube came off the canister filter and put 10 gallon all over the carpet (which now has to be replaced), my devil damsel jumped out and died and on top of that I had to drive a hour to get some Rodi water to fill the tank back up, I've gone back to the aqua clear because this thing has cost me triple of what I payed for it to replace all the stuff that got destroyed
