Abraham is an elderly gent, big and black, now with grey hairs. His is experiencing renal failure and has become a fussy eater. He still loves his beef and is even putting on some weight again. Abe is such a sweet boy and gets daily sub-q too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by skychirp The best wet food
This wet food has just about the highest amount of protein and low fat for a patte. The Gravy Fancy Feasts are for special occasions and treat food. Cats need water and this food has it built in. They don't need grains or vegetables, they are carnivores!

Rated 5 out of 5 by 3TuxedoCats Exceptional Cat Food
Fancy Feast Chicken Classic is a truly outstanding food. Since I transitioned Madison to 100% canned from kibble, she's slimmed down, her coat is glossy and dandruff-free, and she's more active and playful than ever. Feeding canned has made a tremendous difference in the health and energy levels of all three of my cats. I've tried other canned foods from time to time, but nothing else compares to Chicken Classic. I really, really hope the formula for this product never changes.
As previous reviewers have stated, the best thing about this food is that there are no starches -- no grains, peas, carrots, potatoes, etc. Chicken Classic is a lower carbohydrate food that is an excellent choice for weight control.
I would recommend this food to any cat owner who wants to feed his/her cat a healthy, species-appropriate diet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StrudelsMom All Time Favorite Flavor!!
All of our three cats love Fancy Feast in many different forms but for our cat Strudel, the Gourmet Wet Classic Turkey and Giblets Feast is by far her favorite. We buy it weekly and we call it her "specials" because she gets it in addition to her regular dry diet. She eats her dry food but she really looks forward to her "specials". She has very sensitive skin and we have to be very careful with the treats and food that she eats or she scratches and gnaws herself raw. For whatever reason she does not seem to have issues with the Classic Turkey and Giblets Feast and for her it is her daily treat that she looks so forward to. BTW, we also get the FF ornament for her every year. Strudel loves her "specials". Thanks for making a quality product that our cats love!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Arbymaclean Fancy Feast Gives 18 Year Old Cat New Lease on Life
My 18 year old cat, Charlotte, has progressive renal failure, and she had stopped eating. Dropping from 6 to 4 pounds, I thought she was going to die. My vet made two suggestions: one was to give her subcutaneous fluids, the other was to let her eat Fancy Feast, which I was assured she would love (she had been eating a veterinary food for cats with kidney disease, and then had stopped eating it). Sure enough, she gobbled up the Fancy Feast (I have been giving her Chicken Classic) and is still gobbling it up. She just can't get enough of it, and has gained some weight - and her energy and life force - back.

I have been feeding my cats for years. They love the wet and dry. The taste, varieties, and visual pleasure have always been their absolute favorite. I love the price, availability, and nutrition for them. I have tried to steer to other brands due to coupons or samples, but my cats know the difference and will not touch anything other than fancy feast.

There's no wheat gluten and no corn in this food. It's the best you can buy for the money. I use it as a supplement to kibble and my cats look forward to it.

Kitty will be 16 this April. Every day of her life she has had a can of Fancy Feast in the morning. She loves it. I like that it has more protein than other similar brands. She has very few teeth left and I don't worry that she will have trouble eating this food. I wish your flavors were sold by the case (the Classic Poultry and Beef variety pack is good, but the Turkey is not Kitty's favorite.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by MidoriMom Excellent Quality my cat absolutely LOVES AND HAS BEEN ENJOYING FOR THE PAST 11 YEARS!!!
FANCY FEAST TENDER BEEF FEAST CLASSIC is Midori's ALL-TIME FAVORITE!!! Midori ONLY EATS FANCY FEAST, (ALL FLAVORS), and at any given time, we have 4 different
flavors open in our refrigerator, because Midori does not like left-overs. I have to warm them up in the microwave oven, and even make meatballs and feed them to her out of my hand.
And oh, did I mention, I have to feed Midori out of a spoon? Yes, my Midori eats her Fancy Feast out of a spoon!!! Midori LOVES TENDER BEEF FEAST CLASSIC so much, she will eat 1/2 of the can at one sitting!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by wrightleft No Vegetables!
Cats don't need vegetables. They are carnivores. I exclusively use this cat food as it is one of the only ones without vegetable fillers. No rice or wheat taking up space. The main ingredient is turkey. Cat is way healthier than before, when I was using dry cat food. No more throw-up means happy kitty and owner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by happykittyowner May have saved the life of my cat
Sweet Pea is 16 years old with horrible gingivitis and recurrent cystitis that manifests itself in urinating everywhere and appears painful. Fancy Feast Beef Classic is the only brand and flavor that doesn't cause her to vomit heavily and bring on the cystitis flare ups. I think that I have read that fish flavors can cause flare ups. In fact, I usually clear the shelf at the store of the beef, and a lady that was behind me in line at the register said she has an older cat that has the same issue, and she too, has found that she can only feed the beef flavor classic fancy feast...PLEASE, PURINA....DON'T EVER DISCONTINUE THIS RECIPE, AND ENCOURAGE STORES TO SELL THIS FLAVOR BY THE CASE

Rated 5 out of 5 Great value
I am really impressed with the ingredients. I have my cats on a grain free/ gluten free diet, and I'm also a college student so I try to save where I can. I am glad I double checked the ingredients on this cat food, and that there are really no ingredients I have a problem with. The classic is the only variety of Fancy Feast I use and my cats love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CrazyCatLady Great for Diabetic Cats and Others
We have 9 cats, 1 diabetic, 1 with FLUTD. The Fancy Feast Classic has been fantastic in allowing us to feed all cats the same diet. Because it is low in carbs, it helps the insulin dependent diabetic maintain glucose levels and by adding water, it helps the FLUTD flush his system.
They all love the taste, I enjoy the fact that meat is the first ingredient.

My 10 year old cat will only eat 2 kinds of cat food.
He will eat the classic Turkey and Giblets and the classic Chicken and Liver.
He will lick the gravy off the gravy lovers turkey but won't eat the meat.
When I put down any other variety or cut, he tries to cover it up.
Guess I know what he thinks of other flavors!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by 6cats Perfect for picky cats
This brand is great for those pickier felines. We have a male cat that is extremely picky and only eats the Classic Beef and Liver. He has health problems with calcium deposits and lucky for us, this food has helped him out tremendously with his urine and has helped with the prevention of surgery.

I feed my 2 sweet boys with 1/2 a can each which they gobble up. The good thing is they do not throw up this food as other kinds cause them to do. My cats are 10 years old, big boys - 17 lb and 18 lb, named Shadow and Bandit.

Our 10 year old cat loves this! His new Vet told us cats should eat only wet food and that turkey is nutritionally best for them . . . our cat agrees! Six months ago we switched him from dry food to Fancy Feast Turkey & Giblets and now he is happier and healthier (shiny coat, trimmed-down, more energy, and no throwing-up food!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Judy39 Best for cats' health due to sufficient water and low starch
This is the only canned cat food I have found that is virtually starch free. Not just grain free, which would mean there is no rice or other grains, but there is no starch at all that I can find, such as peas, carrots or other starchy vegetables. This is great because cats are obligate carnivores and their digestive systems are not designed like humans to digest carbohydrates. In nature, cats are predators and the only vegetables and grains are eaten when they eat their prey and there is food in the preys' stomachs. So this cat food is excellent! I am so happy I discovered this. I wish other people would learn to feed their cats food that is good for them like Classic Fancy Feast! By the way, I think it is only the Classic line that is like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DeeDee Great for Diabetic Cat
My cat is diabetic from a pancreatic tumor (which was successfully removed). As a result, he is also prone to pancreatitis. I used to buy only premium cat food, but the nutritional ratio of Chicken Feast Classic is better for diabetic cats. He prefers pate and loves this food, so I haven't had a problem maintaining his weight. I add probiotics and digestive enzymes to the food as well and since this food is so palatable, I never have a problem with him getting his supplements. Muscle meat is the first ingredient too! This food is grain-free low carb without sacrificing protein as they don't add fat as a filler (which some of the premium grain-free foods do).
