Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightning Fast! Super Effective! I really wasn't sure if this would be as quick as the product description claimed, but decided I'd try it anyways. We have four active indoor/outdoor dogs and I was amazed how quickly this product worked. I slipped the pills into a treat for each of our four indoor/outdoor dogs and within minutes, yes minutes, I could see results. I found it was effective for about a month at a time for our two outdoor dogs and 2 or more months at a time for our two indoor dogs. December 30, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Product is easy to use I do not think is very effective on controlling fleas December 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Capstar Flea Killer not working either! I bought this to see if would work on my dogs as all the ones that I've been using topically haven't been working. Well this one didn't work either, still have fleas on all my dogs. Guess I will have to try the expensive one. These fleas have become immune to everything else. November 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by easy to use when you need it first time I used and it did good . Just a bad year for fleas and they were difficult to control. used this in between times when needed to keep down on fleas. Nothing is really working anymore.. not even K9 advantix this year and you can't fumigate the whole county and all the neighbors .... I hate that Program was taken off market. It worked and its a shame the Vets controlled that. Fleas should be a priority not vets getting richer. September 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This product is good as far as I can tell. The only thing I have a slight problem with is the price. I have two dogs and this product can get a little costly for me. Other than that, I have used Capstar before and I really thought it worked. September 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Capstar works great Capstar works great for killing full grown fleas. Wish there was another tablet form for eggs without a prescription. Cannot use liquid product; in the past oil from product ruined our leather couches. August 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best option for killing fleas! Whether you have a problem with a few fleas or what seems like an infestation, this product does the trick quick. Absolutely worth it. So much easier and effective than any powders, liquids, or shampoos. August 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product works very well. It really easy to give to my dogs. However, when it comes to the cat it's nearly impossible without some form of trickery to avoid risk of being scratched or bitten because he's smarter than my dogs. July 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 She was going insane! After 2 years of being a dog, and 1 year of living with my cat brother, I thought Mom was going to go insane from fleas. So, Mom and Dad bought us Capstar for a terrible infestation. It started working within minutes, and my entire body wasn't itching! I was able to rest without waking up to scratch. We love Capstar! Rated 4 out of 5 Flea Killer This product works brilliantly. I live in Florida where fleas are prevalent all year round and I have 2 energetic dogs that love to run into the large weeded area in my back yard (behind the shed so its hard to get rid of the weeds). I tried many flea products with no success until now. I am very pleased with Capstar. May 23, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 It Really Does Work - Thank Goodness We have four cats, Patches, Tigger, Mr Chew Chew and Rusty. Love them all, except for the fleas. It wasn't all that bad, but it made me crazy watching them scratch all of the time. The topical didn't work very well, but, Capstar Flea Killer did. They all have stopped scratching. We combed each of the cats and in the combs teeth their were dead fleas. THIS PRODUCT DOES WORK!!! It is less expensive then going to the vets, less stress on the cats. Fantastic product! Rated 5 out of 5 Capstar/Frontline/Advantage Introduced to Capstar by our vet after a terrible 2010 infestation. Great for the quick kill but if you don't get to the source, the pet will reinfest within a day or two. After several years of using Frontline, I will give them no more of my money; they have either changed the formula or fleas are more resistant. Advantage seems to work pretty well so far. Rated 5 out of 5 Really Works! I just moved in a home that possibly had prior pets. The 3,00 sq ft of area was completely overran with fleas. My German Shepard and Rotty suffered. I bought a box of Capstar pills. Low and behold it worked! the dogs are scratching less with no moaning and groaning. I just bought 2 more boxes along with a yard repellent. I have retaken my home and now I've begun giving them home remedy products along with the product. I recommend Capstar 1000% November 11, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Buy Capstar AND a topical product like Frontline! I used this on my cats many times. Your cat will itch like crazy for thirty minutes or so after you give it to the cat, but it's worth it. You MUST use a secondary product like Frontline! Capstar is an immediate effective product that will last 24 hours. You need to use Frontline (or similar) to have long term flea killing. Otherwise the fleas WILL come back! Also make sure to thoroughly vacuum or sweep up your floors, beds, under the beds, on top of cabinets - Wherever your cat has been at even once, you'll need to clean. Look for flea eggs (they look like spilled salt) and larvae (which look like gross tiny maggots). If someone takes your flea ridden cat (or cats) to the vet to let the vet give them Capstar (as it is a pill and many cats are hard to give pills to) have someone else be at your home to clean it thoroughly or even use a flea fogger in your home and some kind of treatment for your yard (if your cat is outdoors or if you know there are oodles of fleas outside). If you just use Capstar you WILL NOT get rid of your fleas. Capstar is like lightning - quick, deadly, but doesn't last long. Yeah, while I'm at the storm analogy, Frontline is like rain - it can last a long while if the storm is intense enough, lol!! Good luck with your fleas, everyone!! October 19, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 vet gave to my sick dog cost $12.50 for 1 pill at vets. Worked a miracle, but is only good for 24 hours. There is a pill that works for 30 days and I'm ordering that here for $55 for 6. Vet charges $20. per pill. October 11, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Capstar is the only thing that is working this summer The Fleas have been horrible this year and we have not been able to get rid of them this year. This has given my cats relief, it does work instantly and has to be regiven to continue to work. Being a frugal person, I have found every 3-4 days works best as advantage or frontline are not working in my house anymore (I think the darn things have built up an imunity) but I also use a pill splitter as I have 2 cats both under 10lbs and it seems to work the best, I can stretch the pills and still have the same effect, with half the cost September 14, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Works great for what it's made for This is not a product for long term repellent, this is to be used to quickly kill fleas. People bring me their flea covered pets for grooming, I give them a capstar and bathe them. I tell the owners while the pet is at my place, go home and use a flea bomb on the house and spray the yard. When the pet gets home, treat it with a monthly product & keep it up. You might have to do it all again the next month until all flea eggs have hatched but by the 2nd monthly treatment all fleas should be gone. August 24, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 cant live with out capstar i do rate capstar a 4 because it does not last long enough, i give my cat one she does get releved from fleas then in a day in a half here comes the fleas again and capstar coat money they are not chep,,, if only there was a capstar for a once a month them its worth the money maybe one day they will make capstar to give cats only once a month, August 3, 2010
Rated 2 out of 5 Ineffective I tried both the 2-25 pound for my cats and the over 25 pound for my dog. This product didn't give any of them relief from their fleas. It is supposed to kill all fleas and ticks on the animal within 24 hours. It did not! Even when utilizing a flea bath after administering the product to wash off the difficult and/or dead fleas, adult fleas remained after the kill period (24 hours). I dosed the animals two days later and again two days after that, using up $60.00 in flea killing product in less than a week. Let me know when you start selling a flea killer that works. July 28, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 it works well along with frontline capstar is wonderfull to get all the flees off but you'll need frontline or someother product to keep the flees from coming back.... May 4, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Killed em' i took my cat Hobbes to the vet and it turned out he had fleas. he was itchy and miserable before we took him there. but we used capstar once a week for 3 weeks and currently use Front-line once a month and now he's happy, healthy & back to normal :-) this product definitely helped out my cat. Rated 5 out of 5 24 hour kill I have been told by a vet that Capstar is to be used initially to kill fleas. It is only a 24 hour treatment, and another, long-term treatment should be used along with it, such as Advantage or Frontline. April 20, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Me and my 14 dogs We have 14 dogs of different sizes and this is the only product that we have found the really works. March 21, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Susan This product works well with another flea medicine like Program March 20, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 capstar I love Capstar. started using when we adopted a stray cat who was loaded with fleas. It got the situation under control right away and I always keep on hand when we have visiting animals to protect from that extra flea that they may have brought with them. March 5, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 Not for me I tried this product on my dog since the "on spot" products are smelly and leave behind a greasy area on his coat. This product works great initially. I could almost see the fleas dropping off of him. However, they re-appeared about a week later although not as bad as before. This product states that you can use it once daily. So, great it's safe to use it more than once per month, but buy a lot because your going to need a large supply to keep the fleas off! January 26, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Fleas die quickly I bought this for my cat Bob. It works fast, but it drives him crazy for a little while. I guess thats because the fleas are dying. This can also be used along with Frontline spot on treatment. November 12, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 used before but more costly @ the vet vets actually dont like it when we order online as it cuts from their business and try to deter u to sprays powders frontline and whatever other costly item they buy in order to make a profit back. I say if your pet is really ill or needs to be vaccinated that is the vets job and a costly one. so being able to order this online knowing my 6 cats and my 1 monster dog Magdalene (maggie) Majesty Mae is happy and healthy and not scratching her tail off its worth it. The fleas were ghastly this year in all parts of the world it has been bad. but the pets are now happy kitties and dog November 3, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 Capstar I think this is great, I used it for the first time last month, I wish I had found it a long time ago, this really works my dogs are so relaxed and happy when they get the pill. My only problem is I live in a small town and its hard to find. October 8, 2009
