Question:

we have adopted a 2 yr old Pekingnese dog, she refushes to urinate outside, you can be out there with her for 30 mins come in and she wets the carpet !! I am so aggravated with her ! what do you suggest I try?

Answer:

I recommend that you look into a dog trainer b/c it may be difficult to train this dog if she has been going inside for 2 years. You should clean the area she soils with natures miracle. This neutralizes the scent. She should also be isolated to a small space and you should bring her out on a definite schedule about 3-4 x daily. She should get a treat when she goes outside and you should reprimand her when you catch her going inside or with-in 20 minutes of going to the bathroom inside. If she goes on paper then bring the paper outside. The more consistant and persistant the better. Good luck, vetcare
