My lab has a hot spot. I have been treating it with sulfadene but it is not healing up. Is there anything else I can try. I do not have money to take her to the vet.
The best way to treat a hot spot is with a steroid, oral antibiotic, and topical antibiotic. This is why a vet visit is recommended. You can try benandryl 50 mg for the itch and topical antibiotic creme. Don;t expect miricles. vetcare
i'm in the same boat my poor guy licks his pads and now his feet are bleeding. i've spent a ton of money i've changed his diet i'm out of ideas. bitters don't work he likes hot sauce. but, I found an oatmeal bath eases the discomfort a little, it won't fix your baby but it may help the itch/pain.
