Question:

Last year in April, I took my dog, sugar, to the vet for a hot spot that developed and she was given medication for that, it cleared up but returned in 2 week after that and was placed back on med., now this summer I noticed that she is starting to develop them again, and one of her pups has them too, should I be concern? I hate to take them to the vet since it seems to me that everytime it gets hot they get them. I have been using aloe vera plant on them and it seems to work, but is it safe for them?

Answer:

Yes, aloe vera is safe but hot spots are best treated by the vet. Hot spots are common in the summer. vetcare
