Question:

My dog has Lyme Disease. He was limping around and I took him to the vet.He fell off the couch looking out the window and landed on a small end table. He said it is in stage 2, what does that exactly mean? He is on antibiotics for a month. If I didn't take him for his limp I probably would not have caught it till it got worse. Should I have him tested every year? He is a Snouzer. ROSE

Answer:

I do not know what stage 2 means. Why don't you ask the vet. When a dog has already tested positive, I have found that the blood tests come out positive even after treatment so I do not know if testing your pet every year would be of benfit. vetcrae
