I AM CURRENTLY PREGNANT AND MY OLDEST DAUGHTER CAME HOME WITH A RAT THAT SHE WANTS TO KEEP AS A PET. ARE THEY HARMFUL TO ME LIKE CATS CAN BE?

Rats do carry the toxoplasma gondii which is what you have to be careful with in cats. vetcrae
