Question:

My dog has been on phenylpropanolamine for several years and it has controlled her bladder problems very well. The drug has been taken off the market and I would like to know what has taken its place?

Answer:

Some vets treat hormone responsive inconinence with a sex hormone called diethylstilbestrol (des). Talk to your vet about it. You may be able to get phenylpropanolamine from a pharmasist compounder. Thanks, vetcarerx vet team
