Question:

When my 10 year old, 110lb., mixed breed pound puppy needs antibiotics, my vet continually prescribes 500mg 3 times a day of Cephalexin or 625mg twice a day Clavomox. These meds are very expensive and both of them make the dog sick to his stomach. Is there a less expensive alternative that would be easier on his stomach? Thank you.

Answer:

You have to talk to your vet about this b/c there is a reason why your vet is giving your pet this particular medication. Tell your vet about the side effects and maybe he/she can give you an alternative. Vetcare
