My 10 year old Maltese has chronic allergies and yeast infection.The vet has her on Nova-Hydroxyzin 25mg 3times daily.There is a pronouced swelling in her Vulva could this be caused by the medication.

Answer:

A swollen vulva is not one of the side effects of hydroxyzine. Is your pet spayed? Your pet may be in heat or false prenancy. It may aslo be an infection. Have you vet check it out. Thanks, vetcarerx vet team
