Question:

PetCarerx: Our local vet has recommended that our dogs be vaccinated against a new strain of Leptospirosis called Leptospira grippotyphosa. Do you have this vaccine? Should we vaccinate against this strain or does your existing vaccine protect against it? Sincerely Art Rofe

Answer:

If the area you are in has a problem with the strain of lepto- lepto grippotyphosa then I recommend you vaccinate with that strain. Unfortunatley there are many strains and there is no cross protection. Call to find out if we have the specfic lepto vaccine you are looking for. Also talk to your vet about lepto in your area. Thanks, vetcarerx vet team
