Are rawhide bones safe? I'm afraid my large dog is swallowing big pieces-doesn't eat well day after finishing a bone.

Answer:

Large chunks of raw hide can cause an obstruction in the GI tract. I have seen it happen. I would use caution when feeding large raw hides. vetcare
