Question:

I have had my dog Donny Boy for 11 years, and he has always been a wonderful pet, but lately, he acts insecure. He will sit and stare at me for hours, and at times goes downstairs and sits on the couch in the dark all my himself. I have to go looking for him. He has never done this in the past. I took him for a physical about six months ago, he has had all his shots, I feed him Science Diet and Mighty dog and he loves it, and has not had a change in appetite. Is something wrong with Donny Boy? My husband finds his habit of staring quite disconcerting, especially since we both work at our computers at home all day in our home business which also has not changed. in fact, nothing has changed in our lives except for Donny Boy's personality. By the way, we also have his sister from the same litter, Jessica. They get along great!

Answer:

Your pet may be becoming senile. I recommend a visit to the vet. There is actually medicine for theis called anipryl and special food called science diet b/d. This food is formulated for brain aging and related behavioral changes. Good luck, vetcare
