Hi! My dog was recently diagnosed with protein losing enteropathy. He is a 1o year old 32 pound cocker spaniel who has progressively lost 14 pounds over the past year and suffers from severe diarrhea. Our vet placed him on 10 mg Prednisone BID, FLagyl and Kanamycin. I've read that he may need high dose prednisone. Is 20mg a day considered high dose for a dog his size? Also, any recommendations regarding diet? He is currently eating either KD or ID canned food with an added boiled chicken breast. Thanks for any help!
