Question:

An English Bull Terrior followed my husband home. It is the sweetest dog and listens well, except for the tearing up and chewing it seems to do. She (Peanut) chewed up our recliner, chair, my daughter's mattress. Plus some toys and books. She loves to chew. Could she be lacking minerals like someone told me, or is this bad behavior of this particular breed? Thank you for your time. Dale

Answer:

This is a behavioral problem. Try buying chew toys and rotating them. Try to buy a new toy every week, this will help keep her interest. I also recommend that you keep the dog in an isolated area of the house to limit the amount of destruction. Good luck, vetcare
