Rated 5 out of 5 Sanity Saver
After rescuing a 9 month old black lab mix from a shelter in Arkansas we thought we had really hit the jackpot; she was quiet, obedient, smart and a real lover. A year and a 1/2 prior to adopting Daisy we had rescued a 9 week old black lab mix from Tennessee and our only fear in getting a second dog was that they wouldn't get along. Luckily, they were instantly best buddies. However, when I returned to work after a month off in the summer, our newest rescuee was exhibiting very destructive behavior-she broke 3 crates, chipped a tooth, ripped up carpeting, couch cushions, sink faucets (to name a few of the more expensive items). We tried natural remedies, Xanax, trainer intervention and finally when nothing seemed to work we put her on Clomicalm as a last resort. We left her for a couple hours (as an experiment) after being on it for 2 weeks and upon our return, we found no destruction and while she was excited to see us, no anxiety. This has been a life saver for us (and definitely for her). We know its not a fix but its certainly a tool to help us work on behavior modification so maybe one day, she won't have to be on it anymore. I recommend this to anyone who has tried everything and loves their doggie enough to be patient and try anything to help our four legged friends feel better in our absence or in stressful situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 For sure for sure.
I've taken my Dog to the Episcopalian Church. and not only is he cute., but does not make any noise. Therefore. I've seen humans not behaving well. it makes me wonder that if you do your dog a favor, then they will in return the same respect attitude. Having said that, I will buy this Medication for sure. and by the way. I rather buy this Expensive vs attend Ridiculous Sports games. which can add up to $1,170 in no time, pending how many people at any given time. I know, sense when does a dog go to Church. what about Norris Art? Animals were also Invited.

Rated 5 out of 5 thank goodness for clomipramine
We have a 4 year old cocker with terrible seperation anxiety. We have had Gabby since she was 12 weeks old and she is the love of our life. Her anxiety got so bad that she started having seizures at the groomers. Our vet suggested that we start her on this medication and it has done wonders for her. We can now take her to the groomers and she does great. She no longer howls when we leave the house and she can finally relax when storms hit. We are now a happy family.

Rated 5 out of 5 Calming Effect
Our poochie had severe separation anxiety whenever my husband left the room and couldn't be left home alone without drooling excessively and howling all day long. With this medication he is calmer and more relaxed making his later years in life much more enjoyable. What a lifesaver!

Rated 4 out of 5 Helps our Lab
Our female yellow lab has always been very "excited"-too excited in that she was always jumping on people. With the drug she is more manageable. She has been on it for 4+ years. Only downside is sometimes her leg twitches. Overall we are happy with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 Old dog can learn new tricks!
Penny is a 12-15 year old dog we adopted in 1997. She had been through 3 owners and had been abused. She was sweet and cute but very nervous all the time. We had isolated problems with her snapping at people and then last December it suddenly got so bad we thought we would have to put her down. A few days on this med and she was a brand new dog! I wish we had put her on this years ago! She rolls over to have her tummy rubbed and actually sleeps soundly. I want some for ME!

Rated 5 out of 5 Success story!!
Our dogs have now been on Clomipramine for several months and we were actually able to leave them home for 8 hours on Christmas Eve and they didn't destroy a thing!! This is a huge success for 2 dogs that could not even be left alone for 30 minutes prior to introducing this medication. I am so thankful for these meds and I know they're thankful for them too!!

Rated 5 out of 5 This medicine really works for dogs with separation anxiety
Our dogs suffer from extreme cases of separation anxiety! They absolutely destroy everything in site if we even leave them for under an hour. We got training for them and followed all the instructions but they didn't get any better. After dealing with this for more than a year, we finally talked to our vet and got them on Clomicalm. Clomicalm really works! We were so relieved and amazed the first time we were actually able to leave them at home while we went to church and returned to a house that was exactly the way left it! (we did this about 2 weeks after starting them on the meds). The only downside to Clomicalm is the price. It was costing us $90 per month for their meds. We decided to try Clomipramine and are very pleased with the results. It does take an adjustment period though. They needed to be on Clomipramine for 2 weeks before we could leave them without coming home to a destroyed home. They are doing so great on this medicine now that we have no intention of switching back to Clomicalm and would absolutely recommend this medicine to anyone who has dogs that suffer from separation anxiety. *Note- you do have to follow the suggested training along with the meds. You can look on line and find lots of good information on things you should and shouldn't do when dealing with a dog who has separation anxiety. If training in itself doesn't work then I would recommend talking to your vet about prescribing this medicine.
