Rated 1 out of 5 by This does not appear to be a well made product. The light strength is not consistent. It will sometimes come on at full strength, other times much fainter. Sometimes it will start as a faint light but suddenly get substantially brighter. It does not respond to adjustments to the batteries and the problem occurs with new batteries as well as with used batteries. It appears to be very good at detecting human urine but does not fluoresce cat urine. As an experiment I transferred fresh cat urine to various surfaces, thinking that perhaps the original surface was fluorescing brighter than the urine and obscuring the fainter glow of the cat urine. Though other substances were easily visible at no time was I able to detect the cat urine. Not a good product in my experience. January 31, 2013
